Search Engines
- Google at www.google.com. Some designers, such as Bob Mackie, have their own websites which you can find using Google. There are also university collections that you can find using a Google search.
- JURN at www.jurn.org. This is a curated, academic search-engine, indexing 4,313 free ejournals in the arts and humanities.
Electronic Resources
- Biography Reference Bank at www.infohio.org. Be sure to type in the biographee last name first, first name.
- EBSCOHost at www.infohio.org. This database contains periodical articles, as well as other materials. If you click on “All Database Search”, you can narrow your search by clicking on “Full Text” so that you can read the articles online.
- Oxford Reference Online at www.infohio.org. Under “Subject Reference”, click on “Performing Arts”, and then on The Oxford Companion to American Theatre and The Oxford Companion to Theatre and Performance. Type the name of your designer in the Search box.
