Academics and Homework
Most teachers will post homework for their classes at www.schoolnotes.com.
Also, assignments and grades can be found at www.engrade.com.
If the teacher uses either or both of these websites, they will provide that information at the beginning of the year on the syllabus they give to their students. Please review it as soon as it comes home with your student.
Each student is required to take and pass the Ohio Graduation Tests. Below are some helpful links.
Preparing for College
Please see our Senior's Page for in-depth information on the specific activities, costs, and timeline for seniors.
In their junior year, college-bound students should be planning on taking either the SAT or ACT.

Student Handbook
Student Information can be found in the Student Handbook. This book will be sent home with each student at the beginning of the year. Please read and review the contents. You will need to sign the back page and return it to the school.
Policies and Procedures
Absences
If you need to report that your child will be absence, please call the Attendance Office at 937-542-7452. Also, please send in a note with your student the day they return to school.
Early dismissals
Students who need to leave school before the end of the school day must be signed out by a parent or guardian in the Main Office.
Fees
Students incur a yearly fee for their Magnet. They also may incur other fees, such as lab fees, instrument rental fees, etc. A letter will be mailed home alerting you to these fees. Please make every effort to pay these fees on-time. If you have questions, please contact the school to make arrangements.
Sports
Many students participate in extra-curricular sports.
Each student must have a yearly physical prior to participating. The physical form and athletic handbook can be found here.
The High School Sports Schedule is at www.highschoolsports.net.
Giving to Stivers
Stivers is a School for the Arts. As such, the cost to provide these extra art services is covered primarily by the Magnet Fees each student pays. However, there are many additional items, including adjunct instruction, that are not covered. If you or someone you knows would like to support Stivers financially, please contact The seedling Foundation at www.theseedlings.org.
Stivers also participates in Box Tops for Education.
Volunteering
Families are encouraged to participate in all that goes on at Stivers. If you would like to volunteer, please see our Parent Association page.
